A simple flight search will result in an abundance of valuable information! Let's take a detailed look at the flight results page.
Please note: The view on your Atriis portal may differ slightly from the examples provided based on your configurations and admin settings. Please open a Zendesk ticket if you ever have any questions.

Round Trip Results
After clicking "Search", we receive these results (only the first few flights are shown for now):
Let's look at each piece of the screen:
At the very top is your current Atriis Trip number and itinerary summary. You will get used to seeing this on all screens associated with this booking.
The "bread crumbs" let you know where you are in the process. "Search Parameters" can be clicked to take you back to the initial screen. "Results" is bold blue, so that is the current page. Below that, Atriis is letting you know to select your outbound flight from ATL to LUX on this page.
On the far left is a filter pop-up that allows you to adjust the results real time. You can read more on this feature in a dedicated "Sort and Filter Functionality" article further down this page. For now, know that you can toggle the pop-up on and off using the filter button.
Just above the results is the ability to search for a particular flight (text box), create a price offer, and sort by column. The search and sort features are explained in more detail in another article on further down this page. You can learn about the price offer feature in a dedicated Flight Price Offer article (coming soon!).
Moving down, each item in the result list contains many details.
From left to right:
- The blue ribbon indicates the source of the result:
- "My TMC" = from your GDS
- "Market" = from another TMC via Atriis Marketplace
- "Non GDS" = from external supplier for instant purchase
- The icon below the ribbon indicates the TMC the result is from. There will also be a handshake icon if the result contains a negotiated fare (either via the TMC or the corporate account).
- The flight joy icon (suitcase with crown) will provide a score from 1-10 showing how closely the result adheres to your TMC's Joy settings. It is comprised of:
- Price
- Number of stops
- Duration
- Airline preference
- The segment price will be in green if it is the lowest fare per your parameters.
- Per your Atriis configurations, you may also have a "View Commission" link present. This will display the contract agreement and how the commission was calculated.
- Carrier, departure and arrival locations, departure and arrival times, and total flight(s) duration are listed next.
- If there are any stops, they will be shown with the airport location and length of layover.
- Any relevant advisory icons are shown at the end. More information is in the "Advisory Icons" article below.
There may be a "Branded Fares" tab if the carrier offers different brands of service for the flight. The tab is located in the lower right corner; click on it to expand the options.
In this example, British Airways offers four brands of travel, each with its own perks. Click on a brand for more information from the carrier.
There is also an "Additional Pricing Options" link that will pop-up fares for other classes of service; you can book straight from this window.
Click the "Branded Fares" tab again to collapse it.
All flights will have a "More Details" tab; click it to expand the segment data.
For this itinerary, your traveler is interested in this segment since it is considerably less expensive than the other offerings. You take a look and see:
- Fare data:
- The base fare, tax, and total fare
- The Fare Rules (by clicking the link)
- The fare purchase-by date and time
- The full itinerary, with stops
- The individual flights that comprise this item
- Airline
- Departure location, date, time, terminal (if available)
- Arrival location, date, time, terminal
- Duration
- Flight number, aircraft, class of service, baggage allowance
- Ability to select a seat (using the link)
- Any stop will be shown between each flight
In this case, the flights are longer (the route doubles back on itself) and the layover in Istanbul is 16.5 hours. Ouch! You choose a shorter flight option instead.
When you click "Select", the flight is added to your Trip Cart.
If you are creating a one-way trip, you will review your selection and get fare information now.
If you are creating a round-trip booking, you will next choose the return flight. This is identical to the outbound flight selection, with a couple of features to point out.
- Your chosen outbound flight will be shown at the top of the page. If you need a different flight, you can click the adjacent trashcan and be returned to the outbound flight results page to choose another.
- Atriis is instructing you to select the return flight. The results are organized in the same format and contain the same data as described previously. Since you don't want the least expensive 37-hour flight, you select the next least expensive option.
While Atriis is compiling all fare options, it will display your chosen itinerary.
Complete Trip
At the very top of the screen, under your trip number banner, there is a summary grid of results. This shows the lowest rate for each carrier that offers flights per your search. Further, the overall lowest rate will be in green font. Routes consisting of more than one carrier are shown under the "Multiple" heading. Along the left are the number of stops associated with each fare.
- Tip! If you click on a carrier in this display, your result list below will be filtered to only show that carrier.
- If there are additional carriers, the grid can be scrolled by clicking the arrow buttons ("<" and ">") on either end.
- In this example, the lowest rate is $1064.54 and is available through Turkish Airlines on an itinerary with one stop.
Next, you may see that Atriis found a low round-trip fare by combining two one-way fares. It will be noted in the result next to the total trip fare amount.
You have the option of adding your selection directly to your cart or booking from here. See "Add to Cart vs Book Now" below.
Like the "By Schedule" search, these results have a "More Details" tab. This tab will display info for all segments.
Multi City
Once you have entered the Multi-City search parameters, it may look something like this three-segment itinerary.
It's show time! Click "Search" to cue to music and singing. Or better yet, the walking guy!
When the results are displayed, you will be asked to select your desired flight for the first segment, in this case, TPA-LAX. This selection process looks the same as described in "Anatomy of Result Screen" and will be repeated for all the remaining segments on your booking.
The second segment flight selection:
Don't forget! On any flight selection page, you can scroll to the top of the page to see the flights you have already selected:
Now scroll back to the search results and choose a flight for the last segment:
Upon choosing all flights, you will be presented with the Best price for your flight selection! In this case, separated fares (or split tickets) will yield the best price, so go ahead and "Select"!
Here's a sneak peak...
If you'd like, you can expand the "Additional pricing options" to see other fares available:
You can play around with seeing the "Lowest overall fare" (it may be different times than those you chose) and the "Check All Fares" button (please note: this is a semi-manual option for pricing, so you would only use it if you want specific COS; you won't be able to return to this screen from Check All Fares):
See the Fare Options article for more information on exploring available fares for your itinerary (coming soon!)
Sorting Filters
Sort
You can sort by all columns: Flight Joy (the smiling suitcase), price, airline, airports, departure time, arrival time, duration of total trip, number of stops, and quantity of advisory icons.
By default, results are sorted by descending Flight Joy. This allows the flights that most closely match your TMC / Corporate preferences to be listed first. Flight Joy is comprised of:
- Price
- Number of stops
- Duration
- Airline preference
A blue symbol added to the heading will indicate the direction of the sort.
- Click the heading once and the results will be sorted in ascending order.
- This means that the Rental Agency, Car Class, and Station Location will be sorted alphabetically and the Price will be sorted lowest-to-highest.
- The symbol looks like a "^".
- Click the heading a second time to reverse the sort order
- The sort will be Z->A or highest-to-lowest, respectively.
- The symbol looks like a "v".
Here we are sorting by Price, lowest to highest:
Free-form Filter
One feature unique to air results is the Search box, in which you can filter the results by carrier, city, or flight number just by typing it.
For example, if your traveler routinely takes the early non-stop United flight UA4063, just enter 4063 into the search box and that flight will be displayed. Choose a seat, book it, and you're finished. This feature is for the agent or traveler who knows just what they want!
Filter
For the flight results, the filter will automatically be expanded on the left panel of the screen. You can leave it there or toggle it on/off using the filter button.
As you scroll down through the filter panel, you will see all the groups you can filter on as well as the values shown in the actual results.
As in the search results and the airline/fare grid, you will see the lowest fare is in green font in the filter panel.
First is the price range and the number of stops: | As you scroll, you will see the departure times, arrival times (if you expand it), and airlines: | Scroll more to see airports and total flight(s) duration: | And at the bottom is the source, agreement, and advisories. |
As you select your filters, only the results that match will be shown; all others will be hidden from view. You can filter on one or more groups, and one or more values within each group. The result list will be updated in real-time - while you are choosing your filter options.
Note: The available options will be based on the actual results of your search. For example, if your search results do not include non-stop flights, you won't be able to filter on "No Stops".
- Filter on Price provides a sliding scale for you to indicate the maximum-minimum total fare you want to see. The range shown is based on the actual lowest price and highest price in the results. Slide either endpoint in/out to narrow/expand the range.
- Filter on Stops allows you to choose the number of stops from your departure to your destination.
- Times provides a range of departure times. Slide either endpoint in/out to change the range.
- By default, departure time is indicated. You may instead control the arrival time by expanding the "Show Arrival" link.
- You also have the option of entering a precise flight time in the text box.
- Preferred Airlines includes all airlines and alliances that are represented in the results.
- Note: If you uncheck an airline (ex: Delta), but there is a result that has two carriers including that one (ex: a Spirit flight with a Delta connection), that result will still show since there are multiple airlines in that one result. Only results that are entirely the unchecked airline will be filtered out.
- Airports allow you to filter if you are flying into a city with multiple airports and you checked "Allow Nearby Airports" on the search screen.
- Duration provides a sliding scale for the entire travel time, including stops.
- The source will have up to three options: My TMC, Marketplace, and Non-GDS.
- Agreement Type will show any agreements that may apply to this route.
- Advisory shows you all advisories and lets you filter out the ones you will not allow. This is handy for checking if any route includes an airport change and eliminating those.
Give the "Only" feature a try: If you only want one option in the filter list, you don't have to manually uncheck all the others. Simply hover over the item you want and an "Only" link will appear. Click it and all the options will be unchecked except for the desired one.
Here, our traveler only wants to fly Delta, so we click the "only" next to Delta.
Let's put it all together! If your traveler wants the least-expensive morning Delta flight, you can quickly click "Price" to sort ascending and filter on "Carrier" to "Only" show Delta and slide the departure scale to noon. You can see how you modified your result list and you will immediately be presented with your options:
Advisory Icons
Night Flight | |
Main Cabin | |
Mixed Cabin | |
Hand Baggage Only | |
Long Layover | |
Stopover (no plane change) | |
Airport Change |
For example, on the Auckland to Reykjavik flight, there is an overnight leg (AKL->DXB), a long layover in London (23 hours), and an airport change (LHR->LGW).
Adjust Search
Starting with this search...
Atriis yields these results...
You realize that these flights arrive on Monday. Your traveler has meetings on Monday morning, so you search for a flight departing the day before so he arrives on Sunday. There is no need to go back to the search screen. Simply locate the search parameters at the top and adjust the date. You can also change the locations, in case nearby airports might provide more options.
When finished, click Search!
Your new results will be displayed below.
Seats
Search Results
If you did a By Schedule search - Choose your flight and click "More details" (Make sure to do this before clicking "Select". But if you have already clicked "Select", no fear. You will have an chance in the Trip Cart. Keep reading...).
In "More details" you can verify the flight data and then click the "Select Seat" link.
The seat map for the aircraft will pop up. On the left, you can see which flight segment you are assigning a seat to; across the top you can verify the flight data again, and then below you can see the seats that are available.
An empty gray seat is available for no additional charge. The empty green seat will likely be available only for frequent flyers or preferred guests and may incur an additional charge. The full key is shown below the seat map.
Hover over an available seat to see the row and seat number and any additional details provided by the airline.
Click on an available seat to select it; a blue passenger icon will appear in the chosen seat. Click another seat to change your selection, if needed, and then click "Save and Close" to return to the flight results page.
You will see a confirmation notice in the bottom right of the screen.
And the flight selection will have the seat noted. The yellow clock icon indicates that we are awaiting confirmation from the airline.
Go ahead and add the flight to your Trip Cart and continue!
If the flight has a connection - You can assign both seats on the same pop-up window.Show "More details"; you will see a "Select Seat" link for both segments. Click either link to reveal the seat map.
You can quickly see which segment you are working on in the top-left corner. Select your passenger's desired seat as described previously. This time, click the "Save" button and then click on the next segment button in the top-left corner.
Once you select each segment, the yellow clock icon will appear adjacent to the segment. When you have finished all seat selections, now click "Save and Close".
Review your flight choices and seat selections; add to Trip Cart to continue.
If you did a Complete Trip search - The only difference is that you will see all out-bound and return flights and connections in the "More details" tab.
On the seat map window, you will see all segments in the top-left. Select the seat for each segment, clicking "Save" in between each and "Save and Close" when finished. You're a pro!
Trip Cart
If you were not able to select seats from the search result screen - maybe the traveller wasn't on the phone with you or you hit "Select" prior to picking a seat - you can access the very same functionality from within the Trip Cart.
In the trip cart, expand out the flight using the "v" button on the far top-right. You will see which segments need seat assignments by the "Select Seat" link.
Click "Select Seat" and choose seats exactly as described above. There is one difference: you can either click "Save" and then the segment button in the top-left to advance, or you can click "Next Flight" in the bottom-right to advance to the next segment. When you are finished, click "Save and Close".
If you expand the flights again, you will see the seat assignments associated to each.
Add to cart/ Book Now
- The "+ Trip Cart" button will save the selection to your Atriis booking and in your Trip Cart. It is not added to a PNR and you are not committed to purchasing. Please note: flights can only be held for 20 minutes.
- The "+ BOOK" button allows you to purchase the flights directly from the results page. The selection will be added to your Atriis booking, the Trip Cart, and to the PNR.
Add to Cart
Once you click "+ Trip Cart", the button will change to "Added". You can remove it from the cart by clicking on the trash can icon adjacent to the "Added" text.
The Trip Cart icon on the top-right of your booking screen will increase in number to reflect the new segment.
Take a look in your Trip Cart. The status for this segment will be 'Pending Booking". Again, no PNR is created at this point. When ready, select the segment and click "Checkout".
Book Now
When you click "BOOK", a PNR will be created and the fights will be added to the PNR and to your Atriis Booking. This may take just a moment as Atriis adds all necessary TMC and/or Corporate data to the PNR (ie: profile info, accounting remarks, etc). While waiting, you may add a hotel, car, or another flight to the booking, or you may view your Trip Cart.
When the flight is in the PNR, you will see a notification in the bottom-right of your Atriis session.
If you are still in the results screen, you will see a "Booked" icon added to your flight
And from any screen for this booking, the Trip Cart icon on the top-right of your booking screen will increase in number.
In the trip cart, you will see the record locator on your flight and the status will be "On Hold"; click "Checkout" to finish the transaction.
